SIWES is the official national scheme run under ITF guidelines. Industrial Training (IT) is the actual placement or internship experience.
All SIWES is IT, but not all IT is SIWES. If your course is SIWES-approved, you follow ITF and school requirements including logbooks and supervisor visits.
